I'll start.
Teacher, 70k, fake, obnoxious colleagues, vacations all predetermined (Not the worst job in the world but I'm curious to see who else is miserable like me) |
| Personal lines insurance underwriter (with some other misc duties thrown in), 45k, got people including higher-up managers and execs leaving left and right. Very high turnover. I wonder why, surely the low pay could have nothing to do with it. They are pretty flexible with vacations though and have started allowing more people to work from home, so I'll stick with it for that reason. |
| My job pays 27k. I wish I had your 70k poor pay... |
| Sorry OP but i don't have much sympathy. Teaching notoriously pays low (though 70k is HIGH for a teacher!) and inflexible (in exchange for long breaks but no running out on errands etc). You had to know this going in. |
| I'd be making 100k if in public but I can't switch now and make that. |
| $200k, awesome flex, but my boss sucks. |
She didnt ask for sympathy, she asked who else has low paying inflexible jobs. |
Teachers like you are why people think that all teachers are whiners. Signed, Another Teacher |

30K, I work 45 plus hours a week and some weekends too. I am basically on call whenever I am needed. Flexibility is bad too as I have to work from home even when I have a cold or food poisoning or my child is sick. My boss sucks too and micromanages everything I do. He stands behind me while I am working to scrutinize what I am doing.
I also work multiple positions within the company and I don't get paid for them all. When I asked for a raise I got laughed at. |
| It would be helpful if you posted the position. No need to give too many details but the position would help. |
