Contractor for mysterious leak

Can anyone refer me to a good general contractor who helped identify a "mystery" leak for you? I have a wet spot under my carpet that is near a bathroom but not really near any plumbing. Before we start opening walls I need his best educated guess on where the water is coming from. I am in a condo in fairfax. Thanks.

Water travels so it's pretty hard to identify sometimes. Do you have Angie's List?

That can be tough -- if you can find a very good handyman, that person may be able to help a bit without opening walls. But you probably will have to open some walls eventually... good luck.

I can help decipher where the leak is coming from. Questions:

1. What floor is the "wet spot" on?
2. If it's on the first floor is there a basement or crawlspace?
3. Does the "wet spot" get worse or stay the same?
4. How long has this occurred?
5. What room is the spot in exactly and how far is it from any room using plumbing?
