Best price you've found for Caesarstone?

Anonymous
I've been quoted prices from $70-80 per sq. ft. for Buttermilk and Desert Limestone Caesarstone, but it seems like these fabricators mark up prices expecting you to haggle. I don't want to negotiate with every fabricator in the DC Metro to get the best price. How much have others paid for Caesarstone and from where? TIA!

Do they have Caesarstone at Home Depot or Lowes?

Run away now get to quartz or granite

Ikea carries it for the same price as everywhere else. But if you buy it during their (long, twice-yearly) sale, you can get 10-20 percent off, depending on how much you spend.

We just got CS Raven for our kitchen from Ikea and I am in love.

Caesarstone is quartz. What are you talking about?

Soapstone. It's a totally natural stone.

OP here. I'm not interested in granite or soapstone. I've already picked out the counters I want, but I've been quoted pretty different prices for Caesarstone (which, as the PP said, is quartz) from only two different vendors. One dropped his price by $10/s.f. during the course of a ten minute conversation. This led me to believe that there's a lot of room for price differences, but maybe I'm wrong about that.

For the PP who bought from IKEA, do you know what time of year the sales are?

Unfortunately, Ikea's sale just wrapped up on April 28. I think the next one will be in fall.

Be forewarned: They charge by the slab, or rectangle, rather than by the actual SF. I have a lot of funky corners and a long strip of 12-inch cabinets and was charged a lot more than the actual SF. It makes sense, because they can't really use that extra quartz. But I ended up spending 3,000 for a little less than 40 SF. And that was with the sale price.

I'm gonna resurrect this thread because I'm in the same boat. Interested in Caesarstone 'Pebble'. They do have it at IKEA for, I think, around $75/sq ft. I called Counter Intelligence and they only carry Silestone and Cambria in stock, so a special order would cost more.

I also like a couple of the LG Hausys Viatera colors at Home Depot/Lowes, and they're all right around the same price.

Anyone know who the direct fabricators are in this area, who will sell directly to homeowners?

I'm the Ikea poster from above and I can tell you that our fabricators were Norwood Granite and Marble in MD. I'm not sure if they do any non-Ikea residential jobs anymore but it's worth a call.
