ipad games for elem school aged kids

I have a fourth grader (girl) and a second grader (boy). Can you recommend your kids' favorite ipad games? So far all mine have been able to find are angry birds and really mindless ones like skeeball flicker soccer. I was hoping to find a game that engages them a bit longer and makes them think a bit more - while still being fun, of course They love sports and history. Thanks.
