I'm seeing a lot of corduroy pants...but are teen boys wearing those? Senior in high school.

TIA

Bruh.

Are you reading anything people have written?

No to rugbys, plaid, corduroys (!), dinner jackets, bow ties, Bermuda shorts, top hats...

Get him hoodies and joggers.

Op you are making this more about you than for him or your spouse. Go to Costco or dicks and get joggers and hoodies that fit him in various neutral colors. Bring a pair he wears to gauge size. Have him try them on and return the ones he doesn’t like. Stop trying to remake him into your fashion experiment. Clothes will not make him more or less popular.

agree with everyone that it's hoodies and jogger pants. my ds only wears sweats and sports jerseys or t shirts with whatever school or logo he things is cool. if your son isn't into sports teams then just go basic hoodie and t shirts.

don't buy cords or j crew, my ds will only wear collared shirts if I force him too.

I posted a year ago. No real updates, they are still wearing hoodies and joggers/athletic pants. They are not wearing corduroy pants.

People like this are exhausting...just give her some ideas! Yes, yes, we all know we should tell our kids they are perfect as is, etc etc

I get my kid hoodies for this time of year because he refuses to wear hats and he has a long walk home from school. Jeans or joggers. Make sure he has the right shoes for PE if he’s taking that.

Ask the kid what he wants. My high schooler wears adidas shorts and Old Navy hoodies.

He needs athletic wear for every day for school. He need one nice collared shirt with nice jeans for “holidays”. That is it. Buy him joggers and hoodies.

That’s a great start.

+1 you can’t go wrong with a Nike hoodie

I’m on the jcrew website.

Seeing some flannel plaid button downs - good idea?

What about rugby shirts?

OMG, no. If he is in diverse DC public school, nearly every kid is going to be in sweats and athletic wear. Wait, I take that back. Maybe half, the other half in pajamas.

I hear Canada Goose jackets are popular these days.

If you must, I would just get replicas of the things he wears most but are too small, in the correct size.

My son is similar. Long sleeve cotton tshirts for winter, adidas, vineyard, Vans, uniqlo … His only condition is no bright color.
