Off leash areas in Kensington?

Off leash areas around Kensington? I love the Cabin John dog park but that too far to go. When we were in Bethesda there was a baseball field people took their dogs to run off leash. I am aware, of course, of the leash laws in MoCo. But some neighborhoods seem to have an informal area where dogs can play. I walk my dog but she LOVES other dogs. I thought I saw someone running their dog in a park next to school on Plyers Mill. Any suggestions?

Wheaton Regional Park has a dog park.

Do NOT let your dogs run around off leash at the playground you are referring to - Homewood Park. It's against the law...as you know.

Keep your dogs on leash!

You may think he/she isn't going to bite/etc., but it's not the ONLY reason they should be restrained.

I saw a woman have a panic attack while walking on sidewalk because the "free" dog ran up to say hi (didn't bite or anything).
