Organization That Sends Cheerful Mail To Kids

Anonymous
I recently started a small organization that sends cheerful mail to kids who are dealing with difficult circumstances. This could mean a child having trouble in school or being bullied, a child with special needs, a child whose parents are getting divorced, children who are homeless, children who've been victims of crimes, etc. It is really just a small, simple service... we send friendly mail and small gifts to the child. Kids love getting mail, and sometimes the excitement of finding a treasure-filled package just for them can brighten a child's day.
You can read more about our organization at http://torijoy.weebly.com We just started in January but are growing fast... we even got a donation from Ricki Lake!
I wanted to post this to see if anyone out there would be interested in mail for their kids. We will send mail to kids of any age, but most of the k ids on our mailing list are 3 and up.
Thanks!

Just wanted to say that is such a wonderful thing to do

it is, but the skeptic in me is VERY hesitant to give a child's name, address, etc. to a stranger. If anyone wants to try this it's probably safer to use a PO box.

OP, I think this is a wonderful idea. I went to a boarding school and received one, sometimes rwo, letters a month, and I would have welcomed an unexpected cherry and encouraging note. Of course, I'm not one who thinks there is a pedophile lurking behind every kind deed of adult.

Keep us updated.
