Since the Trials have been on TV this week, I decided to read a little about it. I cried reading this article. Just couldn't shake that image of 1,829 people "literally swimming through" others' disappointment.

| Yes, of course pp. You are right. Elite anything is "elite" because it is the best, most intense, highest level, etc. Add on any sport ... and the "elite status" requires a full-time intense physical and mental commitment -- rowing, gymnastics, soccer, whatever. |
