Estimate for fixing or re-weaving a kilim type rug?

Does anyone know how much this might cost? We have a kilim type rug (wool) which was purchased in Poland years ago, which holds sentimental value.

A few tears on the sides and a hole in the center need to be fixed, but I have no idea whether it is ridiculous to have this kind of work done and if so, whether I should consider abandoning the idea of using it in our house.
