a new thread about Casey DeSantis's strange fashion choices

Look, she wears Disney Princess and gets away with it. I'm delighted by it. Way better than Tumpvunka an Melwhoreia.

But it was amazing when Michele Obama wore it, lol, so predictable. Casey DeSantis is a beautiful woman and stylish, a progressive's worse nightmare.

The Israeli suit reminded me of this. Not a bad inspiration.

The suit itself is beautiful and would be a good choice, but the styling really ruined it.

The pants look altered on Casey or maybe the jacket is paired with a whole different pant. This move, along with blocky styling and questionable shoe made it look glam and flashy, basically the opposite of what the suit was meant to be: flowy, light, calm, delicate.

This makes so much more sense.

Oh, please. Had she worn it exactly like this picture, you'd be complaining about the "big white shoes" and the fact that she didn't have a shell on under the jacket. She looked lovely, exactly the way she wore it.

The "Birkenstockers" on this forum hate DeSantis so much they won't admit she looks beautiful.

The even better part is she really is smart, not fake smart like so many of their role models, she is super intelligent on many levels. But they'll tear that to threads to once she actually gets to start speaking in public on issues. To be expected.

If only she'd gone to Mt. Holyoke or Bryn Mawr.😊

Is she moving away from Disney princess style due to her husband's feud with Mickey & Co.? I liked her Japan looks, white suit especially. Red dress was nothing exciting but it worked.

I do not, however, understand why she is doing that teased helmet-of-hair thing. Unless it's somehow cancer-related, in which case I will shut up.

I think she’s very pretty. I like her whimsical style. It’s refreshing. Her husband is horrible though and I hate his political agenda. But fashion speaking, she’s interesting to me.

I also like the idea but the execution needs some work. She should work with a stylist that can level it up to what I think she wants it to be

My suspicion is that there isn't really a very modern hair stylist in FL and who ever she uses, they just perform what works for majority of women and then add more as if it shows respect. So overdone. Meanwhile her hair is just naturally beautiful and thick. It really doesn't need much product or styling, but I do think maybe her natural hair is curly.

She should take hair tips from Queen Letizia.

Really? In the entire state of Florida (where Miami is, btw), there is not one single good hair stylist? Really???

I think her look is too old for me, I would prefer more fashion-forward clothing and less "Chico's".

+1 The PP doesn't think anyone in south Florida can style hair... unreal.

The DeSantises don’t live anywhere near south Florida.

It’s beauty pageant 1970s/80s hair. Kind of fits with the retro vibe she’s going for. She would be killer though if she updated it and had a stylist. I’m sure she’ll get one soon.

If they can get to Japan and Ohio, they can get to Miami

Wow. I didn't know DeSantis had such an attractive wife.

We can have a whole good convo about this article in the Politics forum: https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/05/19/casey-ron-desantis-wife-profile-00097456

But here - what is this wrinkled mess of a lil princess sundress doing on stage during a political event?!

I have terrible fashion sense, so I think that if I were in her position, I would dress like her. Personally, I think she looks nice in a lot of dresses, but I don’t like her stiff hair. I feel gross saying this, but I saw a picture of DeSantis on his wedding day and he was handsome back then. Not anymore but back then.
