When did your child outgrow tactile-sensitivity issues?

I'm talking about kids who can't wear certain shoes or pants or shirts b/c they don't feel right. When did your child get over these issues and start wearing clothing without complaining that there are snaps or seams that feel bad.

My daughter is 7 1/2 and it gets so hard to deal with what seems to be irrational dislikes.

has anyone ever dx her with sensory processing disorder? My ds had sesnosry avoidance issues and OT helped a lot.

No, but it seems to fit. Just wondering WHEN other children get less sensitive about how clothes feel.

Some don't. When we find something that "works" we buy it in several colors and sizes. I know adults like this too.

OT can help, a friend's child benefitted greatly, think they did regular "brushing" too.
