Family Friendly Resort in New England?

We've got a few days in Massachusetts (Boston/Cape Cod area) and then several days in mid-coast Maine, and am looking for some place we can spend a few days in between. Have been looking at a few places in VT (Trapp Family Lodge, etc.) , but am wondering if there's something less out of the way? Any great family resorts in MA, NH, or ME?

The Seacrest Hotel in Falmouth on Cape Cod is newly renovated, right on the water and a great place to go.

Star Island, in the Isles of Shoals off the coast of Portsmouth, NH. Very rustic and not for those on the Georgetown-Bugaboo-Greenbriar end of the comfort spectrum, but amazingly peaceful and very New England.

Samoset Resort in Rockport, ME. Www.samosetresort.com. Grew up near there and it is beautiful.

I've heard good things about Meadomak, near Camden, so perfect location if you're in mid-coast Maine.

PP here -- Meadomak is more of a family camp than a resort like the Samoset. If you know Vermont vacation destinations, Meadowmak is to the Tyler Place as Samoset is to Von Trapp Lodge.
