Nice restaurants in/near Duck

I have some friends from overseas going to Duck and they are looking for recommendations for good restaurants during their stay. I am not familiar with the area so am not much help. Trip Advisor recommended Blue Point and Red Sky Cafe. Any thoughts? TIA!

Blue Point is overrated

Go get some good fish fresh from one of the fishing boats and grill it up

I think the Blue Point is very good, although I haven't been in a few years. There isn't a lot else for "nice". Duck deli is good for casual BBQ.

There isn't much in Duck - it's a small town, however there is plenty in Kitty Hawk which is less then 30 minutes away.

For a really nice place, go to Elizabeth's in Duck. We go every year for an adults only dinner during our beach trip. Great wine list, fabulous service, both seafood and meat dishes. Not "beachy" at all, great for a nice meal. (I also find Blue Point just OK, not great).

This is by far the yummiest place we've been (and we've done Elizabeth's and Blue Point). It's only been there a year or two -- delightful!

The gas station drive through has pretty good fried seafood (seriously)!

I also recommend Blue Point and the Sanderling. The Sanderling has a great breakfast, too!
