What is your all-time favorite lip gloss or lipstick?

Mine used to be Cargo Duo lip gloss, in a tin can (wonder if anyone remembers those), but it got discontinued, and their new gloss does nothing for me. I also used to like Dior Addict lipstick, but my favorite color also got discontinued.

I've tried NARS, BareMinerals, MAC,Smashbox.. they were okay, but I didn't fall in love with them the way I once fell in love with those Cargo tin cans . Granted, I'm older and worse for the wear now, but I'd still love to find a gloss or a lipstick that I would like to buy over and over again.

My MIL has been wearing the same shade of Estee Lauder lipstick for the last ten years. IMHO, it's a bit extreme, but I'd give it to her, that color is flattering.

Can anyone please share what your all-time favorite gloss/lipstick is? I'm looking for a product that is not too sticky, not too shimmery, doesn't have a chemical scent to it (many do!) and simply makes you look and feel good. Thank you!

Clinique Butter Shine lipstick. Feels really nice on -- moist, but not sticky. Has just the right amount of shimmer to be pretty and make you feel like you took things up a notch, but not too much such that it's fine for the day. It isn't super long lasting. I mean, it lasts as long as any others that don't feel like sandpaper when you're wearing it, but it's not going to take you from 9 to 5.

I like Laura Mercier glosses but they don't last very long on me.

Neutral color that's flattering on many - Shiseido Sheer Gloss Lipstick in Honey Tea (very smooth, long-lasting)

I've come to really like the Chanel glosses and lipstick (only rouge allure type - very smooth, light and long-lasting - though I have also heard good things about the rouge coco shine type)

Right now, I'm mostly wearing Saint Wine by Lipstick Queen. I'm tempted to try their Sinners lipsticks, but I'm not sure I can handle so much pigment. I'm fair, so I feel like the sheer Saints colors work better.

Like you, I used to wear Dior Addict a lot. I may go back and investigate some of the newer colors.

I am hooked on Clinque Superbalm - I buy them in bulk. Moisturizing, not sticky, and comes in lots of very sheer shades.

I love Tenderheart by Clinique - looks great on almost everyone.

MAC Dubonnet for a red. It's a red-brown brick color that looks good on lots of people.

Lipstick Queen Medieval for a stain/balm.

NARS Dolce Vita and MAC Hot Gossip for pinks.

NARS tanganyika--pigmented lipgloss, brownish red.

I loved Shiseido lipstick glosses, but it looks like they've been mostly discontinued.
