thoughts on fitness dvds, inc. p90x

Hi, all,

Anyone here used p90x? I use the Insanity DVD series, Jackie Warner and Jillian Michaels and am looking to up my strength training. I get bored to tears at the gym and like the pace of videos.

My main questions are:
how much space and equipment do you need for p90x? I have a range of hand weights but work out in the basement where it would be hard to put in a pull up bar.
are the exercises done safely, with good form?

Thanks!

I haven't done it because I don't like working out in my house (I go to the gym), but quite a few of my friends have done P90X and swear by it. Some of them moved on to Insanity after that.

My DH bought a pull up bar that just goes on the doorway-- you don't have to permanently attach it, it just hooks on. I don't remember how much it cost, but it wasn't a lot. Most sporting goods stores should carry them.

Not that he's used it, or the P90x videos. But we know people who have and they were happy with it.
