What color shoes and cardigan for green dress?

It's a true green (emerald? grass?) It's a summery dress that I will wear with bare legs and open-toed shoes of some kind, but I plan to wear it before it gets super-hot so I will need a sweater as well. It's for a social event, not work. I tried it on with black strappy sandals and a black cardigan and it looked really blah. Brown shoes looked better but then what color sweater? Or maybe gold shoes? But then what color sweater? Help!

Would some kind of shawl look better than a cardigan? I'm thinking you could find one that might have the green plus a couple of other colors (brown, black, or cream maybe?) that you could then find shoes to coordinate?

Try a white three-quarter length sleeved sweater or lightweight jacket, fitted very closely to the body, in a shorter (above the waist) length. I see this topper with a no-lapel neckline showing your collarbone area, if your dress is also cut that way.

Add a chunky lucite clear bracelet and some patent leather nude ( match YOUR skin tone) peep toe sling back heels. The advantage to getting shoes such as these is that you will be able to wear them in the summer with just about everything.

Key will be adding bling.

Either a belt (over the cardigan), and/or chunky necklace, strappy jeweled sandals, etc.

Key isn't always color, it's how you accessorize. Can you ask for help from someone at the store?

I'd probably do a cream colored cardigan and shoes in gold, cognac or nude. Gold jewelery.

i like metallics--depending on your coloring, you could do light gold, pewter or true silver. a light cream cardigan with a bit of metallic threads and then shoes that go with it. I hav ea pair of strappy silver sandals that I wear with everything--its like basic black, but for spring/summer.
