Most walkable neighborhoods in VA?

Rosemont and Del Ray, Alexandria. But houses will likely not be huge: these are mostly older houses. They ooze charm, but they do not ooze walk-in closets.

I was wondering why this post was limited to VA? Coming from New England and looking for walkability, charm (at least as much as you can eke out in the DMV) and good schools, we ended up in Chevy Chase/Bethesda. We did not limit our search based on state/district.

I don't want to live anywhere where people use the expression "hands down." It screams arrogance and I don't want to be around people like this.

So now that FCC is out, where else do we look?

I believe the "hands down" refers to how walkable it is, but your criteria is up to you. I'd say eliminating a place due to that expression screams a little arrogance as well.
