And this is the one closest for me. Sigh.

Go to the DC Costco, at least you can buy liquor there! The only one in the region unless you’re driving to Delaware.

Not true. What about Leesburg Costco??

? You’re not buying liquor at any Costco in Virginia

It’s also a mental illness if you ask me - no it isn’t cheaper nor better quality - just allows people to stuff themselves more. Yes I’ve tried it but wasn’t for me. I do appreciate it as a shareholder though so keep on buying 600 granola bars at a time, thx.

When I read posts like this I wonder if people have spent any time in a Costco. They’re absolutely cheaper and higher quality. First example I can give you is toilet paper. $20 for 30 rolls. Which is higher quality than the same $20 for 30 rolls from the target brand. Lactaid brand milk is 5.29 at Costco its 6.99 at Safeway. Dog food is loads cheaper and made by various high-quality pet food brands. I could go on and on but I think when people say it’s not cheaper or good quality than they’re just speaking out of ignorance.

Definitely. Many people poo-poo costco but dont even understand the business model (as clearly posted on here by several posters who were corrected).
Dont want to go to costco? Totally fine, absolutely agree thats your right. But do not make up lies to make yourself feel better about not wanting to go to costo.

I'm definitely happy to profit from Costco but I do it in share price gains/dividend. Not interested in profiting from it by saving a few bucks on grocery/gas bc the crowds aren't worth it. But hey more power to those who love it- all your membership fees are making me richer.

Weird flex

Sorry your job is so inflexible. It’s not at all crowded when I go.

lol job? I’m a full time investor coming and going as I please. Sorry your job requires you to nickel and dime on oatmeal.

It is not worth it to me -

I don’t like having to buy in bulk.

Yes that and enforce a traffic pattern . At pentagon city there are a ton of people pushing their carts around as though they are from England or they are going at a snail’s pace and stopping their carts when they are in the middle of the aisle.

NP here. The traffic pattern is a brilliant idea! Mark two lanes with yellow tape, and bright yellow signs on the floors in Chinese and Spanish. There should be two lanes only - those that park in the middle ruin it for everyone. And leave your extended family at home - you have three babysitters in that group - you do not need to bring three generations!

Lol if they leave the entire clan at home then the whole clan can’t bum rush the free crap food samples that the ladies cook up every day around lunch time and dinner.

I swear these people bring their entire extended family out to Costco specifically for the free food samples because it means grandma doesn’t have to cook diner.

The Costcos in VA only sell beer and wine, just like grocery stores … DC has more relaxed liquor laws so their Costco has hard liquor/spirits. Vodka, rum, etc.

If your life is so great, why are you bickering with strangers on a message board about a store you don’t even like. Is that #winning?

Costco's oatmeal savings is way more than nickels and dimes.

I think the confusion is over the term “liquor.” Beer and wine (which Costco can sell in VA) are not liquor. In Virginia, liquor (vodka, tequila, rum, etc.) can only be sold at an official ABC store by law.
