Fix screen of iPhone 6 or get a new iPhone 11?

Aftermarket screen voids the warranty and many things may not work. If you like how your 6 functions, get an SE. Cheaper and more familiar.

Thanks everybody; I got the SE and it's working great. I appreciate all the tech help.

I just bought my DH and DD the SE for $250 with Consumer Cellular. I also highly recommend them as a carrier if you aren't a big data user.

Buy a new phone. The iPhone 6 is end of life, and end of resale value (you might get a small buyback credit for it, but doubtful it will still even be there next cycle).

My biggest issue would be battery life of the 6 starting to degrade, and the photo quality improvement of the 11 over the 6.

Ok, I can check that out. Can I do most things I can do on the iPhone on an SE?

It's basically the phone for people who were satisfied with their old 6 phones.

I replaced my balky 7 with an SE this past spring, and I love it. And in the midst of the pandemic, I didn’t want to deal with the learning curve of the 11 with no home button. The SE feels comfy and familiar, but works a million times better than my old 7 did.

The learning curve is 30 minutes. Maybe an hour if you're particularly dense.

Can you imagine that other people may be more comfortable with things that differ from your choices??? How in the world could that be??

That's not what she said. She said she didn't want to deal with the learning curve, which is different than wanting to stick with the home button in perpetuity.

Snark works a lot better when you actually read the comment first.
