No electronics in the bedroom. What to use for alarm?

I put my digital alarm clock radio under the bed so the display doesn't bug me. Even with dimming, it's very bright.

+1 OP, is there a reason why you don't want analog clocks with alarms? How old are you OP? Have we reached a stage in our culture where working adults now only know about high tech and not low tech options? I feel old.

I like my room DARK so I hear you OP. I also much prefer to use my phone as my alarm because I really just need the quietest setting on the most soothing tone to wake me up. In fact, I prefer it. I always found conventional clocks blared WAY too loudly. And the radio is the worst because I don't like waking up to talking or advertisements.

I'd also like to have a tiny, DIM digital alarm that is super quiet It probably doesn't exist because it's pretty specific though...white lights on the clock are awful. They should all be red!

Go to CVS and pick up a tiny, battery-run travel alarm clock. It barely has any display at all but if it bothers you, turn it face down. Done.

I alternate between this and just the alarm on my $15 Casio (non-smart, obviously) watch. Have done for years.

Buy an alarm clock and turn it away from the bed, or put on another surface, or cover the time? You can even place under your bed, which is what I did in HS.

The Phillips wake-up lights are very dim on the digital read-out, and then you can set to dim/glow at bedtime and wake up if you like.

I have one and like it.

I just keep mine on my bathroom counter, I can hear it from my bed, but it's far enough where I'm not on it.

I use a cheap LCD display travel alarm. It's digital, has an alarm and does not light up unless you push the switch on the top, then a dim backlight comes on to light the face just enough to read the time.

Sort of like this.

Sometimes when I don't have it, I use the alarm on my phone and put the phone under my pillow. I can hear the alarm and it's within easy reach but I don't see it and don't play with it.

I have a Philips Wake Up light alarm clock and I love it (you can program it to use sound alarm too). The display can be changed to be very very dim at night.

My clock has a setting so the display turn off and is motion activated.

If a bright display annoys you, cover with tape. Sometimes I might use a black sharpie to just further dim the display.

But you also might consider learning to sleep with mild disturbances. It will be handy in the future.

If the clock is too bright, just swivel it around so you aren’t staring at it?

A clock.
