Does anyone else honestly look better in a bikini than clothes?

I feel you, OP. I have an athletic body and while it’s not perfectly shaped, I have decent muscle tone and not much cellulite at all, even at 38. It’s hard to find pants that fit the waist AND butt AND thighs in such a way that 1) you can tell I’m toned and 2) fitted shirts lay well over. If I wear a looser top, it just looks boxy and blobby. I actually prefer dresses the most. I can show off a little bit of leg and belt it or buy a style with a waistband that shows off my waist.

Yah, this is me too. I am trying to be better at buying clothes that show off my shape but I carry around body dismorphia. I often purchase a S when I should be selecting XS, especially now that I am doing CrossFit.

I also don’t want to walk around work showing off my shape. I like looking sexy but I don’t like the attention at work.

I'm 52 and look better in clothes. I work out - cardio and weights - but have slowed down my pace over the years.

I look OK in a bathing - could even get away with a modest two-piece suit. However, I'm not rock-solid either.

You are probably very muscular, OP, and angular. I have friends with your body shape who look fantastic in more casual/active styles - like Athleta and REI.

I do. I am 42, 120 lb at 5'2. I look short and stalky in clothes, nothing looks very elegant on me as I don't have super skinny legs or arms. But I always exercise and have very defined arms, stomach and back ( a lot of people in the gym would approach and comment on my back). I am not super masculine, more like ballerina defined muscles ( I do a lot of dancing, yoga and bar classes). So, yes, I love myself better in bikini than clothes.

Your are wearing clothes too small

NP but I am have question about this when it come to skinny jeans or pants. Are the pants too small even when the waist stretches and slides down? I have a figure similar to OP but with a defined waist. After a few hours, my skinny jean or pants stretch at the waist and slide down creating a muffin top. If I size up, everything gets loose and is sliding off my body completely. So am I really wearing the wrong size? Or is this just the nature of that style of vlothes? Fwiw, i wear top that cover any muffin top created by the stretching waist.

I look pretty good in a bikini because I work out daily and have relatively low body fat and I'm pretty muscular. So in a bikini, I look healthy and toned. (In a one-piece, I look horrible because I have small boobs and a big hip/waist differential, so I look like an awkward pear.) In clothes I just look normal, unless wearing sleeveless or a shorter skirt.

I do too, OP. I’m 42 and 5’6” and about 150 with muscles legs and butt. I think clothes are made for “clothes horse” women, who are very straight and not curved. I do like “curvy” type of jeans and cords. Wearing heels or heeled boots helps too — shows off the curves when you walk.

DP. I don’t think you’re wearing a size to small but it sounds like you need a different brand of jeans with a higher amount of denim in them. Jeans that have 10-20% of something else seem to lose their shape ASAP and provide the weird bagginess.
