Captiol Hill Day School CHDS - 2010 Reviews?

High school placement tends to vary by class. This year a quarter of the class is going to GDS. Last year it was boarding schools, the year before that a quarter of the class went to Sidwell and the year or two before that a quarter of the class went to Maret.

Keep in mind class size is about 20-22.

Do any of the kids end up at any of the Catholic schools?

Yes, although not a lot do. Recent kids have gone to Gonzaga, St John's and a couple of others.

I've heard some concerns about the new head of school, his communication with parents, and his relationship with the staff. Also, they are now looking for a first grade teacher for the upcoming year which is a bit worrisome.

I'm a parent at the school and have heard no concerns. Plus he's been on the job for 6 weeks and school hasn't even started yet so not sure how those issues would be coming up.

I too am a parent at the school. I have only heard a few mutterings and they stem from some of his actions during the years as Assistant Head. Still, my family and I are excited for the new year.
