Where to stay in Montreal?

I am going with my family soon and we booked at the hotel HoneyRose. Looks nice and recently updated, and walkable/close to metro to a lot.

I suggest Plateau Mont-Royal, which borders the Village. Away from the main tourist areas but still very central.

OP here—thank you. I’ve heard this is a great neighborhood but am having a hard time finding a good hotel. Any recommendations?

I lived in the Plateau. There aren't any big hotels. You can try to find bed and breakfasts.
Or consider staying in a hotel on Sherbrooke, there are many hotels eg Ritz.
This puts you in a quieter area north of downtown but close enough to Plateau, Musee de beaux arts etc....

Just booked the Omni Mont-Royal on Sherbrooke. Thanks for the location suggestion.

You’re welcome! It’s a beautiful street to walk along, some stunning architecture and nice cafes.
