Private schools in Maryland or Virginia

Their expectations are much higher than public schools. My kid went to both and I was embarrassed how low the expectations were in public school.

I think the parents believe it will give them some leg up for college admissions.

There is probably some snobbery in play , and lots of kids with special learning needs.
