Book Recommendations for tweens/ teens

Anonymous
My 11yo (almost 12) is currently reading The Diary of Anne Frank, Animal Farm (for school) and Watership Down and loving them all. She just finished Anne of Green Gables and the second book, I think she wants to read the others in that series too.
She was a reluctant reader who really got into graphic novels around age 7-8 which turned her into a big reader. Now she still picks some of them (the Smile books, Babysitters Club), when she wants something “comfy” to read. Land of Stories was the first book series of novels she got into and she really enjoyed those too, though she hasn’t been into much in the fantasy genre since. Roald Dahl books were also great. And the Penderwicks series.

She's been a Godsend to our family and has helped match both kids (with very different reading preferences) to books they love. She gives incredibly thoughtful reviews to a wide variety of books. Good luck on finding the right fit for your reader!
