Red Land Cotton percale.

They’re very thick, so the wrinkles aren’t too bad.

These are the only sheets we buy (except for some thick jersey sheets for when it's exceptionally cold) and I love them, however in the past year, I've had two sets wear through and/or rip and I think they were the newer sets we've bought, so it's possible the quality has declined. That said they're still very soft and I will keep buying them because it's cheaper than buying $400 sheets.

I like both Parachute and Peacock Alley. I haven’t had as much success with Target as others on here, though I’d love to spend less.

I had a set of Peacock Alley years ago from TJ Maxx and had no idea how much they normally cost. They felt amazing.

We usually compare among: Target, Lands End, Company Store, and LL Bean. I think the most recent set was from Lands End.

Way back, I thought I would like a higher thread count better, but actually a moderate thread count does not tickle and holds up much better. YMMV.

I certainly like the price of these! Are they wrinkled without ironing?

I just make sure I remove them promptly from the dryer and they're good.

This is the correct answer.

Target mentioned above is the correct answer here!

Yeah mine were from a store similar to TJ Maxx that went out of business during the pandemic. Haven’t been able to find them for a good price since.

Do not care for satin or flannel so I guess I want percale?

Really hate to iron so as wrinkle-free as is possible!

Can anyone recommend a brand or two to look at?

We were gifted a set of Peachskin sheets and have replaced all the sheets in our homes with them. Not cheap but certainly the most comfortable sheets we have ever slept on.

I like LLBean percale and Target Threshold, but recently have been buying percale from the company store and they’ve been great too.

These ones: https://www.thecompanystore.com/company-cotton-percale-solid-sheet-set/50652L.html?dwvar_50652L_color=WHITE&dwvar_50652L_size=TWIN%20XL&cgid=man-sheets-type-sets

I just bought sheets from The Company Store and have slept on such sheets at other people's houses. They have a guide on their website to help you select the material that's best for you (cold versus hot sleeper, etc).

Spouse is very hard on sheets so I wanted to get strong fabric that will withstand all his thrashing about.

I thought the same. The online guide at the Company Store said a higher thread count is not necessarily better. That was news to me.
