I don’t drink coffee

I don’t mind people who rarely drink coffee. But people who will risk others lives in their strange compulsion I hate

Imagine if he was your surgeon, ambulance driver etc and just wanted a nap when he was tired or drive off road into tree

My case I got a ride home at 4 am from a driver who actually told me he just ate a diner between pick ups. I was in back seat and in a turn he dozed for a second and plowed us right into a tree at 60 mph

He actually told police he fell asleep since he was up since 7 am and I was last ride. He told cop he does not drink coffee even had a glass of milk with his breakfast on his break at a diner before my pick up. Guy was in a diner with endless coffee and drinks milk with his pancakes.

I assume there are mental issues with the strict non coffee drinkers. Not liking coffee or not drinking it is one thing. But to put others lives at risk is a compulsion.

And ice tea barely has caffeine.

Cool story.

Neither do I. I prefer Diet Coke.

Tell them to mind their own business. How rude and intrusive.

Why are you having this discussion with your coworker?

I was wondering the same thing.

Interesting choice, posting this on the Jobs and Careers board. Some might have thought this belongs on another board, such as food or health. But OP thinks outside of the box and is not confined to conventional views of what belongs where.

I’d hire OP.

Wow, you are projecting. Plenty of us are outstanding citizens and can stay awake without coffee - if you get enough sleep.

Caffeine is a stimulant, but it’s not magical. I have fallen asleep while drinking espresso. I’ve very sorry about the injuries you suffered, but I think the driver’s error was accepting a fare when he’d been awake for 21 straight hours, not for his beverage choice.

Please don’t trust that someone is safe to drive because you assume their coffee consumption counteracts fatigue, intoxication, or any other condition that could impair their driving.

I don't drink any caffeine or alcohol at all. People comment on it every so often. I just say "Yeah, I'm big into water. I power through."

Every adult I know who drinks Diet Coke is very "off." Avoid at all costs.

lol, I love Diet Coke. Trying to cut back though! I know it’s horrible for you but I get a quicker refuel from it at work than coffee or tea.

I don’t drink soda and I seriously believe that people don’t give a damn.

I love coffee...lots of it...it makes me very happy! I like dark roast. Coffee is life!

coffee makes my joints hurt. I do like the taste of coffee, but I can only have like one latte a week. If I need caffeine I'll brew some endless pots of black tea or pu'er, or drink a diet dr. pepper if I'm driving long distances.
