HS teacher here. The reality is that so many students get extra time now, it is easier to apply ET and flexible deadlines to all the students.

I have 12 out of 32 kids in an HNs class with extended time. Instead of collecting the tests/quizzes from the 20 NT kids after an hour, every student can take as much time as they need.

Thank you to the teacher above! That is wonderful. I'm glad you recognize that it's about giving everyone the chance to show what they know without being rushed.

To OP, why do you care what other kids get as long as your kid gets what they need?! It seems that the only people who care about this would be parents gaming the system to get their kid an unfair advantage.
