Why have I never air fried it?! THIS is what I needed. Thank you. I’m not a fan of all of the gloopy, fussy, fried/marinated/coated.

I tried all the ways and some of the suggestions are really good ones but this is quick and easy. Just make sure to spray both sides with oil and watch it so it doesn't overcook. It also reheats well if you undercook it a little so it's not crispy.

Thank you again, you are a tofu hero. I have a delicious crispy fried tofu recipe that is amazing but I just need quick and dirty for work lunches.

Tofu (firm or extra firm)
Soyaki Sauce

Pat and squeeze a little the firm or extra firm tofu with towel to get rid of the moisture and then cut it into pieces. Put tofu in bag with some soyaki sauce and bake it in the oven at 400 degrees for about 15-20 minutes or for however long you want depending upon how dry you want your tofu.

Simplest and best recipe!

Don’t bake the tofu in the bag. Put the tofu on a baking sheet for baking.

This is my runner up choice, I’ll try this. Thank you. And with the bag reminder-you’ve seen someone like my husband cook before, I can tell.

If you put it in a bag during cooking, it will steam it, not make it crispy. I think the recipe is more saying to marinate it and then take it out of the bag to bake it. The tofu presses off Amazon are nice as they get a lot more water out than a towel. It helps with baking or frying.

Go back and read the thread. The poster was not recommending cooking it in a bag.

I’m not sure why you’d marinate in a bag vs a bowl, though.

+100 for the Cookie & Kate recipe. It's the GOAT.

Personally, I like to cut the tofu into cubes and air fry for about 18 minutes to get a crunchy exterior to replicate an Asian style deep fried tofu that you can use with a sauce/dressing of your choosing.
