Schools with PK3 Openings after Lottery?

I must be a type C or something because we’re only proximity for Marie Reed and still have just like 5 schools on our PK3 whole list. Wonder what I’m missing:

MR dual language
MR
HD Cooke
Garrison
Stevens ELC
Appletree CH

Basically we’re not interested in much of a drive, even for bilingual, with Stevens the exception because we work downtown. I realize Garrison is really unlikely - might delete. Maybe we should tack Meridien on there as last? We thought Appletree was pretty much a sure thing and the PK-only model appeals to us.

You're not missing anything, it's just that your chances are pretty good at Marie Reed. And I take it that Cooke is your IB? So you're set. Some people don't have a DCPS where their chances are good at all, so that's why they make longer lists. And some people want dual language enough to commute farther for it, but seems like you don't and that is fine.

Well, Appletree didn't fill up last year but there's a first time for everything. I would add Meridien, you lose nothing by putting it on there.

We had all of these other than AppleTree on our list last year and didn’t get into any of them. But you should get into AppleTree and be fine

Weird- the lottery data for last year suggests Stevens cleared its waitlist by Oct. Guessing you’d locked in something else by then perhaps?

You have plenty of spots so no reason to remove Garrison if you would prefer it to Stevens and Appletree.
