Gymnastics NOVA?

There have been a number of changes in the gymnastics community since 2020. Cardinal was bought by two former Aerials coaches in 2021. Aerials had a director for a short time who made decisions that a lot of people didn't like. That has since changed. Capital has also experienced some changes. In the entire NOVA area, some coaches moved gyms and some coaches were let go during covid and didn't return to the sport.

There are happy and disgruntled parents everywhere.

Since your kid is looking at team, they will need to do a tryout/evaluation anyway. Do that at several places and find the right fit.

OP, did you move and have you decided on a gym for your daughter yet?

I was just noticing that our gym and a few other gyms (that we've done open gyms at, which is why I'm on their email list) are emailing about team tryouts, so just a heads up if that's not on your radar!

I've never noticed gyms advertising their team tryouts before. Usually the just extend invitations privately to the chosen kids in the rec classes, so hopefully this means there is a lot more space on teams. I think teams are finally returning to their pre-covid numbers. Plus, Xcel opens up a lot more competitive team spots.
