Best Jeans for Slightly Chunky, not Husky tween

Husky jeans are way too big, and to get a regular size to fit his waist, they end up super long.

Have you tried Lands End? They have climbers with elastic waists that would do well. Of course, that gets less cool as the kids get older.

The Lands End Jeans go thru size 20, and my 14 yo still wears them. Just to clarify (pp might be talking about something different), they have buttons with an elastic band inside so that you can expand the waist as they grow, but they look normal on the outside. My son is a little thick around the middle, and these have always worked fine for us.

I've had great success for my daughter with Gap's pants in plus sizes. I'm assuming they make them for boys also. They have those sizers inside. She's not especially large, but can't fit into 'regular' pants.
