My preference is someone who would come to our home.

You might consider the DC Youth Orchestra Program -- open to students in DC, MD and VA. www.dcyop.org

Beginning students have group lessons and intermediate students have group lessons plus ensemble work. The spring semester just started; students with experience can usually do a placement audition at anytime and new students usually can start anytime in the first couple of weeks of each session. The program moved last fall to the fully renovated Eastern HS in DC near RFK Stadium. A great facility and a great program. My DC has played violin with DCYOP for 5 years. Open to students ages 4 1/2 - 19.
