Round face and haircut

I have a round face and am short, 5'1, 120 lbs. I am trying to get an idea of the best type of haircut for my face shape (doesn't make me look too fat in the face). My hair is long layers just past the shoulders now, and it is totally boring. IT's been this way since 2003! I want a bob, and my stylist said she'd do it, just make the length longer than my chin to minimize the roundness.
If your face is round how do you wear your hair??

I got a shaped bob that has short layers in the back only, but is the same "length" all the way around, and it has made a huge difference in my appearance. I'm sure it's out of style now, but it still looks great on me and I can't imagine going back to a regular bob.

Op here, the texture of my hair is almost wavy, but mostly frizzy and thick but fine. I dry it straight and use a straightening iron every time I wash it (2 sometimes every three days).
