Beauty and Fashion
This is a silly question. We are going on a semi-work sponsored vacation to a fancy resort hotel outside of LA. There will be some on-site events and activities, and some off site sightseeing things. It looks like the weather is going to be sort of like here: mid-60s. Here, its boots and sweater weather--is it the same in LA? Sandals yes/no? I am less worried about the on-site meetings, but if we go out to dinners or in the city, I don't want to look like a total hick tourist...what does a fall wardrobe look like in LA? Still sandals or boots and sweaters? any ideas welcome...

I would suggest that rule of thumb, go for neutrals - browns, beige, cream, black. Avoid really bright colors. I most associate MD with bright colors you don't find on the the coasts so much.
Hope you have a fabulous time! |
Just be prepared for it to get warmer than projected.
I don't think you need to avoid bright colors at all. Just wear whatever you would normally wear in 70ish (?) weather, and plan for layers if necessary.
Go to lastylistmom.com and ask. She is awesome and has given me advice on how to dress for LA in early spring.
