Any good news magazine or newspaper for third grader?

I am looking for magazine or newspaper which would keep my DC informed of current news. Time for Kids seems interesting, but subscription is open to teachers only.

Time for Kids isn't for teachers only -- we had a subscription for over a year -- as a matter of fact I'm not sure why it stopped!
