Kid-friendly but NICE restaurants in Duck, Corolla, KDH or Kitty Hawk

We are staying in Duck, and we LOVE LOVE LOVE Blue Pointe and Ocean Boulevard, but need some recommendations for places that are better to go with small kids. We still want good food/service though. We are staying in Duck, but willing to travel north to Corolla or south to about MP 8 or so.

Flying Fish Cafe is one of our favorites, although it's in KDH at MP 9. Our kids are very young (3 and 1) so we do go early, 5 or 5:30, but there are often other kids there at that hour. They have a great kids menu; I always steal some of my 3-year old's macaroni and cheese because it's so good.
