Come on down!

I didn't even know this was still on. I do have a very fond memory of it. My aunt offered to watch my very cranky 2-year-old so I could have a break many years ago. I left for an hour as DD was crying like crazy. I came back to find them snuggled together watching The Price is Right, DD totally calm.

I was on the PIR way back when there was Bob Barker, and I remember being shiocked how small the set was. It was huge in my mind!

Are you home sick? 😂

Are you eating saltines and drinking 7Up while you watch?

Good for you! I had an hour to kill recently and watched an episode. Still oddly captivating in exactly the same way as 40 years ago.

Love this show. I was also at this show back in the 90s with Bob! My best friend won the showcase showdown too and we all got to go on and dance around the stage while looking at the prizes and meet the models and Bob.

Check out the documentary "Perfect Bid: The Contestant Who Knew Too Much" - looks like it's still on Prime Video.

I was on the show in the early Drew Carey years. I got called to "come on down" and bid on some items.

I didn't get up on stage, but they did give me a check for a couple hundred bucks as a consolation prize for getting called to run down the aisle. Super surreal experience.

I’m still working from home - I try to watch it everyday!

I love it when the top winner passes a decent showcase to the runner up and then gets a crappy showcase with a new dinette set and pontoon boat. And then overbids on the crappy showcase and loses. But I’m mean.

I picture it like a Costco warehouse size. How big is it?
