Need a DC restaurant suggestion

Anonymous
I'm in charge of making a dinner reservation for my department of eight people on a Thursday night.

In our group: a vegetarian, someone with a serious shellfish allergy who needs to avoid cross-contamination, and someone who's low-key gluten-free (preference not allergy).

Our office is near Farragut North so somewhere in that neck of the woods/Penn Quarter/Gallery Place/not too far away would be great.

I was originally thinking Zaytinya, Jaleo, or China Chilcano but I'm worried whether the heavy seafood presence on those menus might make it challenging, and it's hard to avoid gluten those places.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Equinox, rasika Penn quarter or west end, Bombay club

I don’t love their food but carmines might be a good option

From carmine’s website

Carmine's Washington D.C. offers a wheat & gluten allergy menu for its guests. Choose from a wide range of dishes prepared wheat & gluten-free

Carmines is not good at all. Rasika is excellent. But I would go with Zaytinya since it has so much variety and the food is so good.

I’d vote Indian given the food restrictions

Zaytinya is great! Was in just such a party a few weeks ago. We had a set menu because of the group size and there were 3-4 vegetarians (one also gluten free) and they threw in some additional veggie dishes. One person had a shellfish allergy and they added something extra there too.
