| Wondering? I have been laid off for the past few months. Not even sure what to say at this point. I have been studying for some certs relevant to my field but I'm unsure whether to mention this at all or just go by the work I did at my last job which I had for 5 yrs? Would they even be concerned about the job gap there? I hope to get an interview despite this. |
| I forgot to mention I also had a poly done before the layoff. |
| Just say you were laid off. It's pretty common and recruiters don't blink an eye at that reason. |
+1. You need to talk to HR and see what is going to happen to your clearance. Did poly come in or still pending? |
|
It came in over a year ago. My clearance is probably inactive but can probably be activated when taking up a job that requires a clearance |
I know Mantech is hiring, they had a lot of senior leaders come in in the past few months, maybe worth a look. |
| What makes you think that your clearance is inactive after just a few months, OP? |
Sorry i meant its current not inactive |
| Under continuous evaluation, your clearance should be just fine and your new company will be able to pick it up without issue. |
| Tons of companies are hiring cleared people in the tech and IT field. If you’re not sure of your clearance status, you need to get a recruiter hiring cleared positions to check your status in the system. |
