FAQ: What is the "Big 3"? (or "Big 5", or "Big 10", etc)

Anonymous
Actual average SAT for St. Albans is 1338.

I think that we have a change in the Big 3. Personally, I believe that with this week's events, we need to remove Landon from the Big 3. My vote is to replace them with St. Albans. Anybody else?

If you think St. Albans wasn't in the Big 3 before, you need to go away.

Very interesting

Where did this come from?

I must have had a bias - I always have thought STA had the highest SAT #s

Surprised that anyone would accept an anonymous posting of data without citation to sources.

Such a typical response from a self centered, tunnel visioned poster. Why don't you go away and start a thread with all of the St. Albanites who believe only this.

That data you provided is either incorrect or very outdated.

Agreed. Our school does not even publish some of the data you are quoting so I know it must be at least 9 years old.

If you do a search of this board, you'll find some great info. I think one is called "Getting into St. Albans" and there are countless Sidwell threads. I know how nerve wracking this whole process can be, but read the posts with a grain of salt. I read them when we were applying and my DC was admitted to one of the Big 3. Best of luck!

Thanks for your post. Based on these stats, I can see why Sidwell and STA/NCS are the Big 2...

The Sidwell SAT's are not fact. Unless, someone provides a true stat. They are created by "the examiner."

NCS is the top SATs in the city. Fact.

Please tell me where I can get that information, since it is a fact.

Not all facts are public information.

In other words, you can't back it up. That's what we thought...

But you were special enough to get them.... so why not share? Unless of course it really is not a fact, just your opinion!
