College Admissions Counselor for Teen with ASD?

| Can anyone recommend a college admissions counselor for a teen with Level 1 autism? DC is a HS sophomore and this is a new diagnosis. I can see it being a big part of the college search and application process, but don't know how to manage it. With our older child (no autism), we hired a counselor who helped with writing essays and making sure deadlines were met. It was great because our teen was resistant to having parents involved, but someone was making sure the necessary things got done on time. The counselor we hired is a sole propietor and I don't think they'd be a good personality fit for our younger child, especially with this new diagnosis. Would love to hear about other people's experiences. Thanks! |
