RHOC: Laurie Peterson’s son died

Anonymous
For those of you who watched Real Housewives of Orange County from Season 1 - Laurie Peterson’s son, Josh Waring, died recently at age 35. He had one daughter whom I believe Laurie was raising. Very sad. I seem to recall he had issues even in Season 1 with drugs/delinquency. As he moved through adulthood he continued to struggle with drugs and the law. I’m very sad for Laurie. His boyhood pictures were adorable.

I remember Josh. Very sad news.

So sad. Lauri has had custody of Josh’s daughter for a long time. I read that Josh was just released from prison a few days before his death, they believe it was an overdose. Such a sad reminder that you can have all the money and luxury and support and still suffer from substance abuse. So glad Kennady has Lauri!

Very sad! I remember his 'talking head's from Season 1 and you could tell he was a very sweet person. Unbelievable that he went on to be charged with crimes like Attempted Murder. Substance Abuse is such a nightmare.

May he rest in peace.

This is so sad. Lauri and her husband adopted Josh’s daughter sometime back and are raising her. Tragic news.

These were the few seasons of RHOC that I watched and I remember her struggling with him and even having to let him go to juvenile detention because she was at such a loss what to do. I felt so much sympathy for all of them. She was very honest and open about it all. Such a shame for that family.

I think this happened a few days ago. She REALLY tried with him. I hope she knows in her core there was nothing more she could have done. His poor baby.

Yes, he died on Easter Sunday. Laurie was so supportive of him.

His sister, Ashley, posted a very moving tribute on Instagram I think. It broke my heart about what she said about addiction.
