Any there any clothing recommendations for Target this spring/summer?

The last few years have been real hot or miss at Target. I don’t even know which of their house brands is the better quality anymore. Are there at tees, skirts, dresses etc. worth investing in?

No. Hard pass. Look at Flore Flore for wonderfully cut knits. Made in Portugal by a mother/daughter owned small factory.

They look great, but those of us at a Target price point aren't looking to pay that much.

My tailor only lets me wear handmade knits.

I think I'm enjoying this more for the fact that it could be either way. Huh!

Are you looking for casual summer wear? I'd say you gotta go look around. Feel fabric weight, look at seams. For instance, the Universal Thread tees I've bought have been misshapen after a couple washes and dries. They're pretty thin. They're fast fashion. So you're paying less but they don't last. At least not IME. The jeans have held up as have the light, fashion sweatshirts. They finally moved past the prairie dress styles and colors.

I miss the big Target collaborations with guest designers. There are some smaller ones that come through still, but nothing grabs me.

I generally like the cotton/blend basics (dresses, tanks, tees) from the A New Day line. I've gotten some interesting pieces from Universal Thread, but it skews younger so more hit or miss.

I recently bought some basics at uniqlo and have been happy with the quality. Similar price point to Target

They just had a collaboration with dvf. I’m not sure if anything is still available but I got a couple of dresses that feel very high quality for the price…

I did too, those are really nice.

I like the New Day ribbed tees. They fit me well and currently cost less than a decent latte. I have some that I've been wearing for 3 years and counting. I don't need luxury fabrics to work from home (I'm not on camera and my cat can't tell the differece).
