Greetings,
Could you please recommend a birthday party venue appropriate for 2 to 4-year-olds? We are planning a small gathering for up to eight children with their parents, plus 2 to 3 additional adults. The party is scheduled for a weekend and should be located in Washington D.C. or within a 20-minute drive from Northwest D.C. We have a slight preference for an indoor setting. Thank you. |
Gymboree is Woodley Park is fun but pricey. This time of year though I’d definitely just do a park - lots to choose from, free, kids just as happy. Just add a rain date in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. |
Lulabelle's in Petworth has a private indoor party space and they cater ice cream sundaes for the kids. |
OP here, I have looked at DC parks. First of all it is imposable to know what kind of picnic tables if any are offered. It seems there are no bathrooms unless there is a Rec center which is closed on weekend. Any recommendations o n the park please? please? I tried to call DC parks and rec for 3 days!!! no answer |
Reserve a room at a rec center. You can use it if it rains, or just serve cake there and be on the playground. If they will rent you a room, there will be restrooms. I have done this at Columbia heights and Sherwood rec but the former is closer to you. Make the reservation on the dpr website...no need to call them. |
Reserve Guy Mason and use the bathrooms at WholeFoods. Order all your food and cake there too. |
