Transfer from W&M to UVA

Anyone successfully transferred from W&M to UVA in second year? DC interested in UVA’s undergrad business school.
If yes, what were their stats? High school and First year College?

Getting into UVAs undergraduate business school is really hard even if you were at UVA your freshman year as it's competitive admissions for all students so you're asking a more complex question than just transferring from W&M to UVA.

Does your DC have solid enough grades --particularly in Macro and Micro Econ and Calc at W&M to get into Commerce as a major? If not, very unlikely to make it into McIntire as a transfer.

Why is your DC transferring? My kid has WM on their list and it’s sort of sobering to think about a kid disliking it enough to transfer out. thanks, OP

WM is fine, but UVA McIntire is up there with Wharton undergrad. Recruitment is better in finance and consulting.

W&M has a 94% freshman retention rate. While any student may want to transfer out of any school for a variety of reasons, I wouldn't worry too much about it given it's a very small percentage.

Right, but based on first jobs, a lot of UVA McIntire kids don’t need an MBA program. Saves a ton of money when you add up cost of graduate school and forgone compensation.
