I’m an apple-shaped size 10 on the hunt for a new summer suit. Nothing will hide my large thighs, but ideally the suit would help pull in my belly. I am self conscious about my appearance but refuse to stay home and avoid days at the pool with my kids.
My IG feed is filled with ads for swim suits, but brands I’ve never heard of. Can anyone recommend brands they’ve had good experience with? |

Andie's swimsuits have good tummy control. They are my favorite since having a baby because it's the closest I feel to my "old" body.
My favorite fabric there is the original "flat" but a friend of mine thinks the ribbed is more sculpting. YMMV. The Tulum is my favorite suit there. |
| Lands End!! |
| Miracle suit |
| Miraclesuit. Many include underwire which is also essential for me. |

Miraclesuit.
Summersalt one shoulder. J crew ruched bandeau. |
| Miracle suit. I tried Summersalt and it did nothing for my tummy and had no support to my C-cup boobs. |

This brand is new to me this year and I love it! I’m also apple build. I bought the squarey, and it definitely gives me more of a waist.

| Lands end tried and true |
| Miracle suit. Appropriately named. |
| Boden has the best tummy control in some of their suits. Just search by need and make sure you read reviews. |
Summersalt is very overrated, IMO. Not just for tummy control, just in general. Quality does not justify the price, IMO. Athleta and Title 9 both have some good swimsuits and they really pull you in. In general suits designed for athletic activity tend to have a bit more compression, which I find useful for both tummy and boob control. But both these companies still make suits that are cute and not matronly looking. |
| If you go to the Lands End website, one of the filters for the bathing suits is control level and you can select the highest level. |
| There are none. Invest in a nice gym membership and revamp your diet. Or, start going on 1-3 mile walks 3-5x a week. Walking will burn as many calories as running without the joint impact. |
Did you look at your back though? I saw a woman wearing one of these at the pool last year and she had two very noticeable vertical rolls of smooshed fat running down her back. It looked awful. |
