Coincidence or Trend? Dating 34+

Hi All!
I started dating the last few months and noticed something quite interesting.

For context I’ve never dated women over 34 before, but have recently upped the age range since I am now in my mid 30s.

Every date with someone that was 34+ seem to have a quirk.

I had my age range set to 24-39, I learned the app favors 34+ range which I’ll expand on later.

My first few weeks of dates were all 34+. At first I thought it was bad luck and I was getting some bad dates. Additionally I was only seeing 34+ aged women and getting likes from 34+ aged women. I couldn’t believe how bad the dates were.
First there are a lot of old photos being used…. Then they all seem to have a mix of expecting me to take charge, order for them, take care of them, or pay for them.

Here’s an example: (most of my dates are variations of this)
One date when she arrived, I handed her a menu and she just sat there waiting until I opened up the menu for her and walked her through it. (Ordered for her as well)

Furthermore they seemed to have this jaded perspective, glazed eyes, and low energy.

I also thought it was quite odd I was only seeing and getting likes from older women. So I lowered my range and set it as a dealbreaker for 24-31 and it became an entirely different app.

It was a game changer and the quality of the dates improved dramatically. It was like day and night. And they looked like their pictures!
My dates with 24-30 year old women were fun, chill, energy being given from both sides, exciting, and engaging!

I’m sure I’m going to get flak for this post but man it’s a shame.

Honestly it makes sense, the bar is set higher I think at an older age, there are more expectations, the women are probably dating men in their 40s and 50s.

It makes me sad though because I think they are all genuinely good people.

34+ women are likely paying on the AP to get preferential access to what the AP mistook as better matches.

Has nothing to do with age. I am 46 and go out with men aged 31-38 all the time. They always want second dates and more.

You have just had weird dates.

I would say the opposite if over 40. Don’t need to be desperate. We have our own money.

As mid 40s woman I go out with 30-45 yo men pretty often. But unfortunate observation: all men under 40 for some reason have very poor dental hygiene!

I wonder if it’s mine sensitivity to smells and bad luck, or a generational thing

Men 45+ are very diligent about their mouth and teeth
