Sorry if TMI, but every time I eat lamb, within an hour I get horrible cramping and diarrhea, and then intestinal spasms for about 12 hours after that. No vomiting. I haven’t had it in years, foolishly ate it, then recalled the same symptoms the previous times.
It wasn’t bad lamb. We were at a wedding and nobody in my family or friends I could text who also ate the same lamb got sick. It’s like I can’t digest it. I tried to Google it but it says “meat allergy” but I can eat every other meat other than lamb. What is this? |
Its your body telling you not to eat it. Don't eat it. |
Allergy |
There is actually an allergy test for lamb:
https://www.walkinlab.com/products/view/lamb-meat-allergy-ige-blood-test This states that individuals who are susceptible may have a history of Lone Star tic bites. |
This is exactly what I found, but I have no issues with other meats. |
Its the grease |
This is what I considered. But if I have, say, fried chicken, or greasy ball park-type food, this doesn’t happen. It’s just lamb. |
You're allergic to lamb. That'll be $500. Next question. |
Why would you keep eating it? |
Can a person be allergic to just lamb? Isn’t it a protein found in all meats? |
No. You can have animal‐specific allergies |
Because its ba-a-a-a-a-d for you |
This is the best! ![]() |
And bad for the lamb, too. Stop eating lamb! |
A relative of mine had to stop eating any meat with hooves, after getting bitten by a lone star tick.
