| Yes definitely gift card to a sneaker store. I wouldn't want to chose for my 16 year old, it could be a big waste of money if they don't like the ones you've chosen. Most teens love Nike. |

My 17 year old son most recently wanted Reeboks. They are ugly as can be and look a bit like orthotic shoes to me.
For what it's worth, he has strong preferences on footwear, is in the popular crowd and is active on social media so he's generally on the pulse of what is "cool." (just some backstory--I am not any of above). |

| I would not spend money on expensive shoes without asking the kid. My nephew is very particular with his shoes and styles. I would never buy him a brand or style without him picking them out. My 16 yo son is also very particular but it’s all about comfort and fit. He wears what I think look like old man shoes because they feel good. They are also expensive and he buys them at a running store but are not fashion shoes. |

| They are sooo specific about shows. Even Jordans isn't enough of a category as there are different ones. I completely agree with a $$$$ gift certificate to a store. |

Book a private shopping trip to Major. They have exclusive items found only on the SNKRS app and they are not marked up like Stock X or Goat. We took our son in January for his birthday and gave him a budget. He LOVED it!

Cool option, just be aware that nothing can be tried on so they need to have a sense for what fits them. We shop Stock X for hard to get sneakers. |
